How I’m Working on Issimus SEO (And what You Can Learn)
Today I’m talking about something many people hear about but few truly understand: SEO.
Yes, those three letters that feel like black magic for some.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. In simple terms, it’s the process of getting your website to show up higher on Google (or any search engine) when someone searches for something related to what you do.
It’s not fast, it’s not easy, but it works.
My Experience with Issimus SEO
When I launched Issimus, I knew having a pretty website wasn’t enough, I needed people to actually find it.
So, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work on SEO.
I used Ubersuggest, a tool that helps me analyze keywords, search volume, difficulty, and how competitive a term is.
I focused on keywords like “automation” and “Puerto Rico” because they had relatively low difficulty, even though they were a bit saturated in my region.
I also realized that Google reviews are a huge factor for SEO. The more authentic, positive reviews Issimus has on Google Business Profile, the more trust we build with users, and the higher Google ranks us. That’s why I ask my clients to leave a review after every project.
This is a long-term project.
You won’t see results in a week. SEO can take a few months to a year before you start noticing real progress. In fact, I plan to give you an update in a year on where Issimus is ranking on Google.
The Challenge
Right now, I’m competing with 42 industrial automation companies in Puerto Rico.
Issimus is the only agency in Puerto Rico focused on automation for small and medium-sized businesses.
Even though I’m unique in my niche, in SEO terms, I’m still just a needle in a haystack.
This isn’t an easy battle, but it’s exactly the kind of challenge that motivates me.
Every keyword I choose, every blog I write, every tweak I make on the site, every review I get, is one step closer to that #1 spot.
What You Can Learn
If you have a business and want to improve your visibility, start here:
Research your keywords with tools like Ubersuggest or Google Keyword Planner.
Choose low or medium-difficulty keywords with good search volume.
Create useful content around those keywords.
Collect Google reviews from happy clients, they boost your credibility and your local SEO.
Be patient. SEO is a marathon, not a sprint.
Closing
For me, SEO is like training for a competition.
Every website improvement, every new blog, every optimization, every review, it’s another rep in the digital gym.
It won’t be easy, but it’s going to be fun to see how far we climb step by step.
See you in a year with the results.
